The incredible Bethan Laura Wood!!

Designer and artist, this English woman does not want to be labelled! But what is her thing?

Well, “colours, motifs, superposition of materials and her worldwide travels to meet with various artisans”.

At the Milan Design Week, I was able to see her remarkable work on a collection of luminaires developed for the Nilufar Gallery.

Her work is so varied but here are some of my favourite items:

• The ‘tasting tree’ called ‘Hypernature’, made of coloured PVC and steel, which she worked on with the Californian specialist Neal Feay.
• This resulted in a lovely product evidently showing the artist desire to pull out PVC from its traditional use and enhance it!
• 
• The ‘Super Fake Collection’ of rugs designed for CC-Tapis aimed at reflecting the confrontation between man and nature.
• A wealth of happy colours and motifs!
