This hotel is a first in London for the interior designer Jacques Garcia, also known for designing La Mamounia and Selman in Marrakesh. He completely transformed an old church building into this opulent boutique-hotel using his baroque style but with a British twist. We easily recognize his theatrical and voluptuous style in the large screens covered in silk and velvet mixing purples, blues and golds.

My favorites:

  • The Victorian moldings on the ceilings;
  • The Lalique-style bird-like luminaires, dimming the light.
