Ultimate luxury stay at Palazzo Versace Dubaï

I have just arrived back from a fantastic trip to Dubai where I spent the first part at the sumptuous Palazzo Versace Dubai hotel. I had heard a lot about this place and I was so excited to discover it. The Palazzo Versace Dubai is much more than a hotel; it symbolises the Versace lifestyle in all its splendour!

The Resort

It is the second in its genre to have opened its doors worldwide, after the one in Australia. Situated at the heart of the Culture Village, it is only minutes away from the Burj Khalifa and the Downtown Dubai. Stunning interior design highlights

The architecture of the Palazzo Versace Dubai shows influences from both Italian palaces and Arab designs. It must be said that the tone is set as soon as you enter the hotel and you discover, with awe, the incredible lobby.

To welcome you, the fantastic ‘Pietra di Fume’, which represents the iconic ‘Medusa’, is sculpted on the floor! I have of course immortalised this extraordinary design in my mind!

It is easy to see that each design detail has been carefully chosen; from the high ceilings crafted in gold and marble covered columns, to the totally wonderful floor, crafted with marble and mosaics, the result is nothing short of a neoclassic architectural masterpiece!

Dining at Palazzo Versace Dubai

The hotel offers 8 different culinary experiences in superb surroundings. I was lucky enough to taste some of them.

Let’s start with the Giardino restaurant, where I enjoyed some lovely breakfasts. Decorated in a palette of green and ivory, the cheerful design is inspired by the Versace jungle motifs from its wallpaper collection; the jungle fabric on the seats as well as the leafy design on the columns. I must say that I was delighted to see the beautiful crockery from the ‘Byzantine dreams’ collection again, which we had in my Art & Manière shops few years ago, as I was definitely seduced by this style then.

Now let’s talk about the Vanitas, my favourite, and the signature restaurant of the place! Elegantly decorated, it offers a superb view of the Dubai Creek and proposes refined Italian cuisine. As a lover of Italian cuisine, one that has been lucky enough to go to Italy to enjoy it, I was immensely impressed by the finesse of the dishes. I even admitted to the head waiter, that the tiramisu was the best I had ever tasted to date

The Mosaico on the other hand, offers opulent and comfortable seating in the sumptuous Palazzo Versace lobby itself. It proposes a rich à la carte menu which allows customers to choose from lunch, tea or dinner all day long!

Finally, the last place I had the pleasure of trying was is the Enigma! This restaurant proposes an authentic and a refined ‘Taste of Persia’, cooked under the supervision of Mansour Memarian, a 2-Michelin-star Chef. I will add that the restaurant has a wonderful view of the main pool and the Dubai Creek. The evenings there are just fantastic, clearly shown in this photo!

The Palazzo Versace Dubai includes 3 superb outside pools decorated with mosaics, and beautifully arranged gardens, conferring an overall feeling of serenity and pleasure.

Luxurious accommodations

For accommodation, the Palazzo Versace Dubai offers 215 rooms and suites as well as 169 Residences. I stayed in a superb ‘Premier Versace Club Creek View’ room. Its design is simply unique!! Each piece of furniture or fabric has been made especially by Maison Versace. The entrance first leads to an elegant and comfortable living room. The very spacious bedroom has a dining area, a very big dressing room, a pretty boudoir and a luxury marble bathroom. As previously mentioned, the fabrics are all Versace and those in my bedroom were in yellow and ivory colours, invoking the tones of the Medusa mosaic and legendary motifs of the Italian House. A special mention goes to the comfort of this room and the incredible balcony with a breath-taking view of the Dubai Creek; In short, it was the finest luxury, Italian style!

Choose Palazzo Versace Dubai

Nothing to add really, other than, that the Palazzo Versace Dubai deserves a place in the shortlist for most beautiful hotels in Dubai! The whole staff is very professional, and I must thank most particularly Asad in reception, as well as Jorge in the Vanitas restaurant, for their great kindness.

A place that combines glamour and sophistication, do not hesitate for even a second if you are looking for a Versace experience in the Middle-East! With its own private marina, this place is, in my opinion, a real luxurious retreat for the discerning travellers!
